(More customer reviews)I'm not much of a make-up person. I usually only wear concealer. Since I dislike having a shiny face I put powder as well. I was sick of regular power because it felt heavy and looked cakey over my concealer. I got this stuff and its perfect. It reduces shininess well and makes my face feel softer and smoother. I don't have to worry about even color and other problems regular power creates. It has a faint clean smell. The case is cute. It has lasted me a very long time. About a swipe or two of it across my face once or twice a day, I estimate it will last me a year and a half. I really like that I can dab it on top of my concealer to to cover up the shininess of the cream and I don't have to worry about it messing up the color at all.

(More customer reviews)I like Almay.I have used their products for years.But this one was a total loser.I got a set of two.The first one was impossible to open and when I finally did manage to undo it, the product spilled all over the bathroom.The second one I managed to open without disaster, but then found out that it was not like the good mineral makeup I usually use (Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals).This was more like really cheap powder.I immediately washed it off.And threw it in the trash.I am very disappointed that Almay would put this type of junk on the market.I would give it negative stars, if I could, simply because of the mess this item made in my home.One other thing, which is important to me, is that the product information was impossible to read.Printed in type so small that even with a magnifying glass it was incomprehensible.And it is wrapped around the tube.Product info is important to me because I have numerous allergies.I went ahead and tried this item anyhow because it was by Almay and I have not reacted to their things.

I used to use Clinique's pressed powder, but I was always bothered by its sweet scent, and I have very sensitive skin, so the combination of the pore-clogging makeup and scent always made my skin itch and break out. Not pretty. I switched to Benefit's Get Even about 2 years ago...and I'm sticking with it. My skin has never looked so even and pimple-free. My advice to those who are fair-skinned...buy color 01. I tried the 02 and felt it was too dark for my skin. If you have a tan, go for 02.

Its still a little pricey though.I started with Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder and loved it.Then looked for a cheaper alternative and found this.This works great too but I was still hoping to find something less expensive that worked.After all, this is just one step in the makeup routine.... :)

I did find a cheaper brand that I LOVE.Sheer Miracle's Extreme CloseUp HD High Definition Finishing Powder (available Extreme CloseUp HD High Definition Mineral Finishing Powder Makeup 8g/.28oz (Compare to Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder) or at sheermiracle dot com). It is identical to the Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder and only $15.50. You can't go wrong with any of these products but if you can get the same quality at about half the price, why not!?

Posner Creme To Powder Make-Up Tender Tan Review

I recently reordered because you can no longer find it the stores and I find that it pasty and greyish.It looks like make-up for a dead person. I tried to see what the difference was between the compact that I bought 3 years ago and discovered that the product is being made in China instead of the US.Needless to say I will nver use this product again.Not becuase it's made in China, butbecause its no longer being made correctly.

(More customer reviews)This is, by far, one of the coolest products I've ever found. I use it mainly as an eyeshadow. My favorite shade is 951 Irridescent Fuschia, which is a wild and crazy, super-bright hot, hot pink with shimmer. The more pigmented shades do tend to stain the eyelids a little, but an eyeshadow primer underneath the shadow will help decrease the chances of that occuring.

These shadows are very, very eye catching and many of them have two different pigments in them, so depending on which way the light hits you, you may see a different shade.

I absolutely love these powders . . . the intensity, the super-fine texture, the colors and the vibrancy are all right on!

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail Stars Collection Lipcolour Review

Infallible really does what it says: This Stuff WILL NOT come off! and I mean that in a good way.. you can eat ( yes, even greasy foods ) and drink and rub your lips together all day long and this stuff will NOT budge! to remove it, I had to take OIL and literally scrub this product off of my lips.. it took longer than 10 minutes of scrubbing with OIL before it came off.. so thats a good thing if you are looking for long wear. My problem is with their COLORS, for example, one of the "nude" shaedes called "nutmeg"...WOW, is it metallic! its weird that the nutmeg shade is listed in the "Nude" category, because there is nothing "nude" about it! it is a truly super metallic color.. so metallic, that I would say that is reminds me of those cheap, cheesey looking gold lam'e shirts you see for sale around the holidays.. Uggh! awful color, not natural, not nude in ANY sense of the word! I am taking it back today for a refund. I have tried another one of their colors, I forget the name, but the number on the pkg is 890.. much better. still... make sure that you can either test the color out before you buy, or make sure where you buy from has a return policy, because the colors can be MUCH more intense than how they look on the tube, and there was definitely NO WARNING on the outside of the pkg that said the one I picked was an ultra metallic color. As a final note: I have also tried their Never Fail Lipgloss, and I LOVE it, and I will be buying one in every color.. But, as for the Infallible lipcolors, however, I wont buy another unless I test it out first to check out the color.

(More customer reviews)I love mineral make up. It is wonderful because it looks great and does not feel like you're wearing make up. This is my second bare minerals starter kit. I bought the second starter kit because I really like the bare minerals brushes and it is cheaper to buy the kit than the brushes individually. Bare minerals has changed what you receive in the start kit since I first purchased it. I think the old one was better.

The first starter kit I purchased had:
- Two shades of bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation (.06 oz/2g) in Light and fairly light
- bareMinerals Mineral Veil(.06 oz/2g)
- bareMinerals Warmth All-Over Face Color (.02 oz/.57g)
- bareMinerals Glee All-Over Face Color (.02 oz/.57g)
- Handi Buki Brush
- Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
- Flawless Application Face Brush
- How-to DVD.

The new kit has:
- TWO shades of bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation: Light & Golden Medium (Size: Medium)
- Mineral Veil (Size: Medium)
- Warmth All-Over Face Color (Size: Medium)
- Full Flawless Face Brush
- Flawless Application Face Brush
- Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
- Prime Time

The really differences between the two products: the old kit had a Handi Buki Brush when the new kit has Full Flawless Face Brush. I think the Handi buki brush is the better of the two brushes but both do a good job of applying the make up. The second major differences the old kit had small Warmth All-Over Face Color and Glee All-Over Face Color the new kit has a Medium Warmth All-Over Face Color. Again I think the older kit was better. Warmth is a bronzer that gives your skin a natural sun kissed glow. Glee is also a great product, it is a plum shade blush. It gives your skin a touch of natural color as if you have been exercising. Both of these products are great but you need to be careful not to use too much.

Personally without Glee my face ends up looking pale, my face really needs a little bit of color beyond the foundation, warmth and mineral veil. Glee is my absolute favorite bare minerals product. Mineral veil is a great product that is a great finishing product. It gives your face an airbrushed look.

What I do not like about bare minerals is how it sits on top of your pores and makes them look bigger. Unlike the commercials claim you do not look like you are not wearing make up in fact your look like you are wearing tons. It is a natural look but still a make up look.

Frankly, there are better mineral foundations than bare minerals my favorite is E.L.F. (eyes lips & face). It has a great mineral foundation which is better than the bare minerals foundations and a fraction of the price. I like it better because it does not make your pores look bigger. E.L.F. also makes a product called mineral booster which is like mineral veil.

My overall opinion is to buy the starter kit once to get the brushes because mineral make up needs special brushes. Use what come with it and switch to a different foundation and continue using Glee and Warmth.

Mineral make up last longer if you apply a moisturizing before the make up. One trick I have learn to minimizing the appearance of pores under mineral make up is to use a acne moisturizing and let it dry before applying the make up.

It gives you full coverage and hides a lot of imperfections without feeling heavy or oily like other make-up and foundations do. Be carefull not to apply this to wrinkle areas such as around the eyes because powders will make wrinkles look even deeper. It is also very easy to wash off at the end of the day and a great make-up to use during the hot summer months. The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the brush that comes with it is a little bit too rough on the skin but you can purchase a better softer brush.
